KCPD Leon Mercer Jordan Campus
Fostering relationships between police and the community
The Leon Mercer Jordan Campus, home of the East Patrol Division Station and Regional Crime Lab, is located at Prospect Avenue and 27th Street and has had a significant economic impact on Kansas City’s east-side citizens and businesses, while also benefiting taxpayers. Former City Architect Eric Bosch said this unprecedented investment in the Third District of Kansas City, Missouri and this neighborhood has already been reflected positively in other recent projects in the community area.
Location: Kansas City, MO

The Leon Mercer Jordan Campus provides modern facilities for police officers at the new East Patrol Division Station and gives police more tools to investigate crime at the new Regional Crime Lab. The new East Patrol Division Station includes a full gymnasium, larger locker rooms for the police officers, a community conference room where neighborhood groups can convene meetings, and a computer access lab that is the vision of former KCPD Chief Darryl Forté.
“It’s not just a police station. It’s a place where people can gather – where they can do homework, play a game of basketball or have a neighborhood meeting in a safe and supportive environment.”
